Overview

The Great Root Severing was the moment Noctis struck at the heart of the Song's network — cutting one of the great rootlines of the First Oak.

Description

After the Stag departed, Noctis went to claim the Crown. He knew the First Oak was beyond the Ridge of Whispers, in what is now called the Vale of Ancients.

The Song resisted him near Veyhollow (the closest Sanctuary). In response, Noctis struck his greatest blow — not in battle, but beneath it. He severed one of the great rootlines of the First Oak.

Impact

ThisWeakened the Song across all of Sylvanholt. Ardenfire dimmed. Sanctuaries lost clarity. The tribes splintered further.

The event is referenced in prophecy and is a pivotal moment in Sylvanholt's history.
