Significance
The Deadwood represents the corruption spreading from the Hollow Spire — a land where the Song has been silenced.
Book II
Liora, Ephraim, and Tobias emerge from the Red Hollow tunnels here after escaping the Hollowborn. From here, they can see the Hollow Spire on the horizon, their destination to rescue Silas.
