Briarwatch

A fortress-sanctuary located in the northern territories, beyond the Deadwood. One of the few places where the Song still resonates and where the Thornrunners dwell.

History

Before the Night of Hollow Flames, it was known by a different name. When the Deadwood rose to devour the world, the people stayed. They built their fortress on the old stones and kept the flame alive. The Thornrunners — even the wild ones — stayed with them.

Book II

The rescue party from Briarwatch (Thayer, Garrun, Brima, Nol, Vexil) rescues Silas from the Hollow Spire. After escaping, Silas and the group travel to Briarwatch to recover and prepare for the journey north to find the Burrowed Crown.
