Silas's mother — the Elder of Brackenhold who raised him.

Background

Yrenna found infant Silas in the Deepwood with only the First Oak pendant. She raised him as her own son, never telling him he was adopted.

She was one of the village Elders in Brackenhold.

Death

During the Malakar's raid on Brackenhold, Yrenna was captured along with other elders. When Malakar was about to execute the elders, Silas returned to rescue them.

Yrenna jumped in front of a Noctimantic arrow meant for Silas, taking the shot directly to her chest.

She died in Silas's arms, with her final words being the Remembrance phrase: "The roots remember."

Significance

Yrenna's death is the catalyst that drives Silas's journey — she believed in him before anyone knew he was the Heir.
