Background

Nyra is one of Brackenhold's best scouts — daring, athletic, and fiercely independent. She and Silas have a close relationship that blossoms into romance throughout Book I.

Story Arc

Book I

• Chapters 1-3 — Teases Silas during the Remembrance Gathering; they share a dance
• The Raid — Captured by Malakar's forces during the Brackenhold attack
• Imprisonment — Held in a cell with other captives (never confirmed dead)
• Fate — Captive throughout Book I; appears in Book II

Book II

• Hollow Spire Captivity — Held prisoner in the Hollow Spire
• Reunion — Reunites with Silas when he is captured and brought to the Spire
• Escape — Fights alongside Silas through the Spire, using her bow and combat skills
• Thornrunner Ride — Escapes on a Thornrunner, pursued by Skyryn. Flies through the Deepwood to escape the Skyryn.
• Tobias's Death — Witnesses Tobias die from his wounds after the escape
