A Mycen healer and one of Silas's closest companions.

Background

Liora is a Hearthnote — a healer who uses Ardenfire for restoration. She was born in Deeprest (the Mycen underground city) and trained as a healer.

She saved Silas's life after he collapsed near the Deeprest tunnels with a Blightbound (Noctimantic) arrow wound.

Story Arc

Book I

  • Finds and rescues Silas from the Deepwood
  • Heals him of the shadow poisoning
  • Discovers his unique blue Ardenfire
  • Travels with him to Vallenglen
  • Fights in the Battle of Vallenglen
  • Escapes through the tunnels with the party

Book II

  • Journey North — Travels with Silas, Ephraim, and Tobias toward the Hollow Glade
  • Dimmingwood — Faces the shadow creature test alongside the others
  • Hollow Glade — Present when Oren reveals the truth about the Crown's sacrifice
  • Silas's Surrender — Witnesses Silas surrender to Malakar to save his friends
  • Tobias's Confession — Tobias confesses his full backstory. Liora offers compassion instead of judgment.
  • Attuning — Oren attunes Liora's staff using the pure Resonant Anvil. The root-crystal blazes brighter with intricate patterns.
  • Red Hollow — Travels through the Red Hollow tunnels to approach the Hollow Spire. Battles corrupted creatures and the Hollowborn beast. Discovers the ancient laboratory and touches a corrupted root, receiving a vision of the failed experiments.
  • Escape to Deadwood — Escapes the collapsing tunnel and emerges in the Deadwood, seeing the Hollow Spire on the horizon.
  • Hollow Spire Infiltration — Fights through multiple waves of guards inside the Spire, rescuing Silas and Nyra.
