Overview

The Burrowed Crown is the ultimate relic — a device created by the Golden Stag to restore the Song. It is planted in the Vale of Ancients, beyond the Ridge of Whispers.

Location

The Crown rests in a hidden cavern deep beneath an ancient tree — the First Oak itself. The roots converge around it, cradling it in living wood. The tree towers above the canopy, its bark traced with pale blue veins that pulse with the Song.

Epilogue: The Crown is not in the Vale of Ancients as previously believed — it is buried deep beneath the First Oak, woven into the roots themselves, waiting for the Heir.

Nature

The Crown is described as a Resonant Interface — a living tool designed to respond to the purest Song frequency.

It is not meant to be worn as a trophy, but to complete a circuit with the Heir.

The Tablet's Revelation

Oren shows Silas a hidden tablet that reveals the Crown's true purpose:

Activation requires complete alignment with Song frequency. Piercing of host's central node must occur to complete signal cascade. Upon termination, signal reaches highest point in network. Beacon from core reestablishes connection to origin.

This means the Heir must sacrifice themselves — their heart must be "pierced" — for the Crown to send its signal to call the Stag back.

Significance
